Simon Breakwell joins Arthroplasty for Arthritis as a valued Patron

The Trustees are thrilled to announce that Simon Breakwell has generously accepted our invitation to become a Patron of Arthroplasty for Arthritis Charity. 

 

Simon has had a dynamic career, often associated with transport and travel. A politics graduate, Simon joined the British Airways graduate scheme where he worked for eight years before making his name in the tech industry as one of the pioneers of the online world.

 

In 1996 he moved to Seattle, where he co-founded Expedia and in 2012 he led Uber’s expansion into Europe. He has held many non-executive roles with travel tech firms, including holiday home websites like Onefinestay and HomeAway; and was Chairman at bd4travel, board member at Part-timeBelieve and Chair of Genius Sports. In 2014, Simon joined the AA as Chief Executive Officer before becoming Deputy Chairman and was on the advisory board of British Airways from 2014-2016. Simon maintains many roles in business, which currently include Chair at Enviola, Senior Adviser at Fairview and SilverRail. Simon is also Venture Partner at Technology Crossover. 

 

Simon brings to Arthroplasty for Arthritis Charity a wealth of business insight, knowledge, experience and dynamism and we welcome him.
